Election Observation:
IHRC to Observe Presidential Election in Chad
Towards the 2021 Presidential Election in Chad, the Special Monitoring Mission of the International Human Rights Commission has expressed readiness for international electoral observation in the Country of Chad.
It is a truism that any election can be enhanced by observation, but comprehensive observation is particularly helpful in countries in which a significant proportion of the population may lack trust in the electoral system.
The emergence of the International Human Rights Commission in observing the presidential election is an appraisal of the research that opines that international election observation can assess whether an election is in line with international standards, highlight specific recommendations for improvement, and demonstrate the support of the international community for genuine democratic elections.
