USPA NEWS - We publish the full text of the statement attributed ti the sposkepserson of the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs.: «  Mr. Jean-Yves Le Drian, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, today traveled to Tripoli to meet the President of the Presidential Council Mohamed Menfi, Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dbeiba, as well as his counterpart Najla Mangoush, and to participate in the conference to support the stability of Libya organized by the government of national unity.
The minister called on all Libyan leaders to complete the ongoing political process. He stressed the importance that the Libyan presidential and legislative elections be held on December 24, in accordance with the road map defined by the Libyans and endorsed by the Security Council. Mr. Jean-Yves Le Drian reaffirmed France’s attachment to the stability of Libya and the security of its neighborhood, which requires an end to foreign interference. He expressed his support for the work of the Libyan Joint Military Committee which recently adopted, under the aegis of the United Nations, an operational plan for the departure of foreign forces and mercenaries from Libyan territory. The Minister reiterated France’s determination to continue to act against terrorism, against the smuggling of migrants and in favor of the dismantling of militias. The minister called for continued international mobilization in favor of the political transition in Libya and recalled that France will host a conference in Paris on November 12 at the level of heads of state or government, co-chaired with Italy and Germany and closely involving the United Nations, in the presence of the participants in the Berlin process and all the countries of Libya's neighborhood. ."
